Gudja United Football Club, currently in the second tier of local football, is set to begin a new chapter after it was announced that it has been acquired by Solo Football - a sporting agency owned by Angela Perez, whose uncle is none other than Real Madrid President Florentino Perez.

Ms Perez's previous experience in football was at the helm of Italian clubs Montevarchi and Sansovino, clubs that play in the lower leagues.

The news was posted on the club’s website and grabbed the attention of internet site tuttomercatoweb.com.  It was also announced that  Tommaso Volpi will be in charge of the technical aspect and will be assisted by Luca Bindi and Giannoni Massimiliano.

According to the club’s website the objective next season will be to win promotion to the Premier League. The club is aiming to add talent from abroad to increase the team's potential.
