A school from Gzira wins second prize in European competition

  A few days ago, the Consumer Classroom website, dedicated to consumer education, released the results of its first edition of an Inter-School Competition across the European Union. For this edition, 48 projects had been submitted from 12 European countries! Classes were invited to prepare a video, poster or image using digital devices to illustrate a creative work on one of these subjects: A sustainability campaign with slogan as “Be smart – Be green” or “Be responsible – Save natural resources!”  An advertisement on the benefits of recycling in your country under the title “Think global, act local” Based on pedagogical and creative criteria, the jury decided to award 2nd prize to a Maltese school team composed of 2 teachers and 8 students aged 11 to 13 years who presented a project called “Be smart, be green”. The team submitted a 3-minutes video presenting different environmentally-friendly measures implemented at the Stella Maris College in Gzira.
