The government is reducing health services in Gozo through its decision to have blood donation services only on alternate Sundays, Nationalist Party spokesman Frederick Azzopardi said. Until today, the services was available every day and one Sunday a month.
The PN said it is disappointed by the decision taken and also by the fact that the service will now be given at the Outpatients Department of the general hospital, rather than the special clinic that the PN government had opened.
The blood transfusion centre will now be utilised for other services that are as yet unspecified, Mr Azzopardi said.
The government is being a miser with health services, he said.
