Both the Labour Party and the Nationalist Party start their MEP election campaigns tomorrow.
While the PL will be holding its rally at Birgu – a Labour stronghold – the PN is organising its own at Dar Centrali – the party’s headquarters in Pieta.
The PL’s rally was first announced by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat who tweeted: ‘On Monday, we roll!, Birgu’, which was followed by another tweet from the OPM’s chief of staff Keith Schembri who tweeted: “The PL is to launch its campaign Monday”.
The PL also rolled out a video on YouTube to promote the rally.
PN MEP David Casa also tweeted that the PN would be organising a rally at Dar Centrali.
A total of 33 candidates will be contesting for the six seats in the European Parliament on 24 May.
