GWU orders responders not to fill in ambulance check list

Malta Independent Friday, 11 July 2014, 13:45 Last update: about 11 years ago

The GWU yesterday requested industrial actions at Mater Dei to start tomorrow 12th July after the management refused to provide for public ambulance responders.

The government is currently choosing to make use of private ambulance drivers, although there is sufficient number of public ambulance responders.

Discussions regarding the issue have already been carried out, and recently an agreement was reached so that such ambulance responders move from St Luke’s garage to Mater Dei’s, however the GWU is now ordering workers not to not to fill in the ambulance check list except for oxygen bottles and not to wash the vehicles.
