A Polish man who resides in St Julian’s was this morning given a three-month jail term suspended for one year after he was found guilty of threatening and attacking two women and damaging an iPhone.

Wictor Edmund Depta, 31, who appeared without a lawyer, admitted to damaging the iPhone but pleaded not guilty to the rest of the charges. He paid for the damages. It is understood he puhed one of the women into the sea yesterday.

Mr Depta told a court he did it as a joke.
