Two men and a woman were granted bail after they pleaded not guilty to the possession of heroin and cocaine in amounts that denoted it was not for their personal use.

Rosario Cortis, 31, of Qormi and Carmel Muscat, 40, of Siggiewi were granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €4,000.

Erika Vella, 27, of Gzira, who is pregnant, was granted bail against a deposit of €1,000 and a personal guarantee of €5,000.

She was also charged with possession of cannabis.

The drugs were discovered by police following a raid at a number of stables in Marsa earlier this week.
