In court this morning, a police officer recounted in detail how Vincenco Brancaccio threatened various police officers in the bar he works in, in St Julians.   Mr Brancaccio stands accused of threatening various police officers, not following police orders, ,breaching public peace and being drunk in public.   The incident happened on 7 September at around 5.30am, when police officers entered the bar O'Serracino, where the accused works as a manager, and asked him to put the music down.   Police Sergeant Ramon Mifsud explained how at the time, two people were singing karaoke in the bar. The police officers took the microphone away, and requested to know who is in charge of the bar. Immediately the Italian started complaining loudly to the police, and then proceeded to threaten him, saying he will set him on fire. Furthermore he pushed the officer on the floor, and damaged his uniform and mobile phone.   The inspector described Mr Brancaccio as being so arrogant that clients present at the bar had to leave.    The accused kept insulting police officers ,and swearing as they led him to the police car.   Dr Joe Giglio represented the accused. Magistrate Antoinio Micallef Trigona presided.
