Three babies were born to three couples that underwent IVF treatment last year.
This was revealed in parliament tonight, following a question put forward by Nationalist MP Claudio Grech.
In 2014, 28 IVF cycles paid by the government were carried out in private hospitals. Six of the couples became pregnant, and three of those couples became parents.
Meanwhile, 150 to 200 couples will be benefiting from the In-Vitro Fertilisation service at Mater Dei this year. 30 couples have already started the simulation process.
