Winter Moods: 30 years on, and I still get the same thrill – Singer Ivan Grech

Tuesday, 3 March 2015, 16:10 Last update: about 10 years ago

Winter Moods will be celebrating its 30 year anniversary this year, and singer Ivan Grech says the band will be celebrating in style.

A new album called ‘The Journey’, the band’s sixth, is going to be released on 6 March.

“Releasing this album feels exactly the same as when the Winter Moods launched its very first album. We still get the same thrill and there is a lot more to come from Winter Moods.

We have seen the last 30 years go by in a flash. We have seen a lot of things evolving in the music scene, and we believe the evolution has been for the better.

“There is more talent, many more fresh bands and everyone has his or her favourites.

“30 years of Winter Moods is an achievement, it shows the unity of the band who have become more like brothers.

“We have had our ups and downs, particularly in the 80s when things weren’t so harmonious. We went through a rough patch and came out stronger.

Music is what brings us together,” Mr Grech said.

The band has just released a new song, ‘Flowers And Cash.’
