The court today ordered two Swiss students to pay €100 each after they pleaded guilty to swimming in the nude in Sliema.

In court, Benjamin Elias and Eric Albert, both 21 years, told Magistrate Antonio Vella that swimming in the nude was legal in Switzerland and they therefore assumed this was also the case in Malta.

Noting their early admission and cooperation with the police, the court ordered a €100 fine.
