Six people were injured in a traffic accident that took place in Main Road, Mellieha, yesterday, the police said today.

The accident was between a Seat Ibiza driven by a 24-year-old of Naxxar and a Suzuki Gran Vitara driven by a 42-year-old woman of Qormi.

The two drivers and four passengers were taken to hospital for treatment.

The 24-year-old driver and his 24-year-old passenger suffered slight injuries. The woman driver and her three-month old baby also suffered slight injuries, while a 15-year-old girl and nine-year old boy suffered grievous injuries.
