Speaker of the House Anglu Farrugia today addressed a number of youths during an event organised by KSU students at the Parliament building.

The theme discussed was sexual health and the proposed change of sexual consent from the age of 18 to 16.

Dr Farrugia reminded youths that new laws are formed in parliament and it is this institution which is responsible to scrutinise the government.

He pointed out that earlier this year, the permanent commitee for health, social affairs and family heard out the opinions of various experts on such issues.

PL whip Godfrey Farrugia, PL MP Deborah Schembri, PN MPO Claudette Buttigieg and Commissioner for Children Helen D’Amato also addressed those present during today’s event.
