There are no repercussions for rap star Wiz Khalifa after he boasted about smoking cannabis freely and openly both on and off camera, and this in spite the Tourism Minister Edward Zammit Lewis saying yesterday that any visitor to the country must abide by the rules.

Asked specifically about the controversy sparked by photos on the app Snapchat with the caption "I smoked a joint in Blue Lagoon today", the rapper said that he is aware of the controversy and when asked by local media whether there have been any repercussions he simply answered, "Nope."

During his brief interview with MTV Host, Becca Dudley, Wiz Khalifa said that he has seen the Blue Lagoon describing it as 'tight' and he looks forward to seeing a number of antics he has grown used to while touring the world. He also said that he will be at the after-party, which will feature headliner Steve Aoki.

He is most known for his song 'Black and Yellow', which topped the Billboard Charts in 2010 and his collaboration with Charlie Puth resulting in the song 'See You Again' from the Furious 7 soundtrack. The latter spent 12 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the US Billboard charts and is his biggest single to date. He will also be releasing a song for the soundtrack of the upcoming villain movie, Suicide Squad.

Steve Aoki said that he loved Malta and remembers coming to scuba dive; however he doesn't actually remember if he played here or not. His first party in Malta was back in 2010. He said that he was surprised to find out that 50,000 people were going to attend the Isle of MTV event saying that he thought Malta would have an audience of around 5,000. Aoki also promised the television debut of a number of songs as he will be playing new material throughout the night.

This world renowned DJ, producer and music executive was nominated for a Grammy in 2013 for Best Dance/Electronica Album and in 2012 he was considered the highest earning DJ in North America due to his immensely successful tours. He said that he always busy and his secret to still going strong is "lots of naps".

Jess Glynne said that Malta is a great place and she's excited that it is her first time performing here. She will be performing with a full band saying that they "have a lot to bring". When asked about any new projects, she said that she would like to get round to working on her new album however she just hasn't had the time yet.

This singer rose to fame after being featured on Clean Bandit's "Rather Be" and Route 94's "My Love" which both topped the UK Singles Chart in 2014. In 2015 she became the second female solo artist to have five number-one singles in the UK. Her 2015 debut album debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.

Grace Chatto from the instrumental electronic band Clean Bandit explained that she was studying Cello in Moscow when an old woman used to call her sister a 'clean bandit' which they thought was hilarious as it meant something along the lines of 'complete rascal'. They are currently working on some songs with Elton John and Labyrinth and their main studio focus right now is getting ready to release their latest single.

The band is also made up of brothers Jack Patterson and Luke Patterson along with Neil Amin-Smith. The group was founded in Cambridge in 2009 and since then their aforementioned single with Jess Glynne stayed at number one for four weeks. The single also went on to peak at number ten on the US Billboard Hot 100 and then win the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2015.
