Prime Minister Joseph Muscat today said that he has no problem to meet President Marie Louise Coleiro Preca, with whom he said he has regular meetings. A meeting could be held today after the President meets with Opposition Leader Simon Busuttil.

He said that since last Thursday he has been at the centre of a huge lie, and “I am still waiting for one single proof” of the allegations made.

Blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia has said that the PM’s wife Michelle is the owner of a company in Panama called Egrant, an allegation that Dr Muscat is refusing.

“I will not allow anyone to continue damaging the country, apart from damaging me and my family on a personal level,” he said.

He said he will let the country’s independent institutions to deal with the matter and reach their conclusions. “I have full faith in the courts of law and their investigations,” he said.
