A 54-year-old British national resident of Malta was arrested early this morning when he disembarked from the catamaran from Sicily and the Drugs Squad found 18 kilos of cocaine and heroin in his vehicle.

The drugs, six kilos of cocaine and 12 kilos of heroin, were found concealed in the chassis of the car he was driving.

The duty magistrate is conducting an inquiry and the suspect, who 9is being held in preventive custody, is expected to be arraigned tomorrow.
