A man who was locked on the roof and tried to enter a building via a window died yesterday evening after falling, the police said today.

The accident took place in Mensija Road, San Gwann, at 7.30pm.

The 45-year-old of Cospicua, the police said, was locked on a roof and tried to make his way back by climbing down to a window on the top floor.

The man however fell down to his death, the police said.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke is conducting an inquiry.
