A crash at 9.30am today between two vehicles in Sliema has left one Polish person grievously injured.

The police were informed of a traffic incident on The Strand in Sliema.

District police officers went on site, and noted that an impact between a Nissan March driven by a 27-year-old woman from Zurrieq and a Hyndai I30 driven by a 55-year-old man from Msida occurred. As a result of the incident, a 51-year-old Polish person who resides in Sliema was also hit.

An ambulance went on scene and the Polish person was taken to Mater Dei Hospital. She suffered grievous injuries.

Investigations are ongoing.
