Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi is not being followed by the Malta Security Services, a government statement said this evening.

In the statement, the Government said it “is informed that the Malta Security Service contacted Opposition MP Jason Azzopardi and informed him that the MSS was not following him in any way.”  

“Government regrets such misinformation by a Member of Parliament.”

In a post on Facebook, Azzopardi said that he was being tailed by two cars. "You’ll not intimidate me in my work," he said.
