Simon Mizzi has been selected by the Nationalist Party to represent it on the Environment Resources Authority, The Malta Independent has learnt.
Initially, the Opposition Leader had named Janice Chetcuti, but her candidature was not accepted as she occupies a public position since she is a local councillor in Marsaxlokk.
Simon Mizzi, a Gozitan, is a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering.
In a statement, the Nationalist Party said that Mizzi obtained his degree from the Stratchclyde University in 2008 and worked for Rolls Royce, a leading aviation company.
