Jesmar Baldacchino has been appointed as the PN's new Director of Information.

The 39-year-old replaces David Bonello, who resigned a few days ago.

Baldacchino had worked in journalism and communications for around 20 years, with RTK, Newsbook and Net. Most recently he occupied the Deputy Editor position at Illum.

He previously worked in the communications office of MEPs Therese Comodini Cachia, and Francis Zammit Dimech. He also previously worked in the public relations office of former Justice Minister Chris Said.

His new job with the PN will take effect on 5 February.
