381 persons employed with the Courts of Justice Department

There are currently 381 persons employed with the Courts of Justice Department, Justice Minister Owen Bonnici revealed in Parliament.

He was responding to a Parlimanetary Question posed by PN MP Karol Aquilina.

All of these people, he said, work in the Maltese law courts, aside from a Deputy Registrar who works in the Gozo Courts building. He added that there are 27 persons employed with the Gozo Courts of Justice Department.

The aforementioned numbers include 16 court attorneys, 12 part-time judicial assistants, 10 executive officers, 19 assistant principals, 30 clerks, seven senior clerks, around 80 deputy registrars, 42 court messengers, 21 ushers, 17 marshals, and others
