A man was arrested last night after the car he drove off the catamaran arriving from Sicily was found to be carrying drugs, the police said.

The 41-year-old man of Rabat was caught with two kilos of cocaine, a kilo of cannabis and half a kilo of cannabis resin.

The drugs were found in a false bottom affixed to the chassis.

Magistrate Josette Demicoli is leading an inquiry.
