The time has come for those who do not want to work for the party to make a decision - Adrian Delia

Nationalist Party Leader Adrian Delia said that those working in favour of the PN moving forward will be given space to work whilst those who do not foster the same sentiments have a decision to make.

Delia who was speaking this evening on Iswed Fuq L-Abjad programm on Net TV,  said that since he has been elected leader seven months ago he has worked to bring together ideas stemming from all within the party.

In a long-standing party like the PN there have always been people with different opinions and the ability of the leader is to unite this diversity to emerge with one message to enable to lead the party and eventually the country forward Delia continued.

He said there might be people who are still not convinced but this is something natural especially when the leader was an outsider to the party. Some may not know him or worked closely enough with him.

Delia also emphasised that he knew Economy Minister Chris Cardona solely as a lawyer and he had no other relation with him apart from that. There was no business relationship nor did they ever invest in property together.

He also spoke about a client he had over 15 years ago who bought property abroad. The money for this property was obtained from a local bank. This property was rented to someone who got into an illegitimate association. The British police investigated but did not inquire into the owner let alone the lawyer of the owner (Adrian Delia). Delia reiterated that he was not involved in any money laundering and if ever any proof is found that he carried out illicit activities he will resign immediately.

This follows claims by the late journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia who accused him of money laundering through a prostitution ring in the London flats.
