Former FZL President Alex Saliba submits his nomination for the MEP elections

Alex Saliba has today submitted his nomination to contest the upcoming European Parliament elections in May 2019.

His nomination was endorsed by Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Chris Fearne, Labour Party Deputy Leader and Minister for Economy, Investment and Small Businesses of Malta,  Chris Cardona and Minister for Transport, Infrastructure and Capital Projects Ian Borg.

He is a lawyer by profession and is the Head of the European Union Secretariat in the office of the Minister for European Union Affairs and Equality. He is also a member of the Labour Party's National Executive Committee.

He previously occupied the role of legal advisor in the Ministry for Social Dialogue, Consumer Affairs and Civil Liberties between 2014 and 2017.

He also served as a President and secretary General of the Labour Youth Forum between 2006-2017 and as Secretary General in the student organisation Pulse.
