Some 14,000 people seek eye treatment services offered by the government every year, Health Minister Chres Fearne said.

Speaking at the opening of an ophthalmic centre within the Floriana health centre, Minister Fearne said the facility offers a one-stop shop to anyone who needs ophthalmic treatment.

The centre will offer eye screenings, refraction clinic, glaucoma assessments and diabetic retinopathy.
