A motorcyclist was seriously injured this morning in a traffic accident in Qormi, the police said.

The accident took place in Hammieri Road at 7.20am.

The biker, a man aged 22 of Qormi, was hurt in a collision with a car driven by a 32-year-old man, also of Qormi.

The biker was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
