A banner calling for the resignation of Adrian Delia from Nationalist Party leader has been hung outside the party headquarters overnight.

Unknown persons have hung the banner “Irridu future – Irrizenjaw” was put across the columns outside the entrance of the PN headquarters in Pieta’.

Apart from Delia, the use of the "plural" shows that the call is for other top officials in the PN to call it a day. The two deputy leaders, the head of media and the secretary general have also come under fire in the past weeks.

Over the past days there have been calls for the resignation of Delia and his team following the two massive electoral defeats in the European Parliament and local council elections.

This was followed by further chaos within the party after the executive committee chose to co-opt Jean-Pierre Debono instead of David Stellini, who resigned his parliamentary seat. Debono later renounced the position, and the executive committee will be meeting again on Saturday.
