Tourism Ministry adverts spoil view of the sea in St Julian’s

We had Heritage Malta planning to use Fort St Angelo as a billboard for advertising, an idea that was thankfully shelved.

There are plans for an iconic telephone box in Valletta to be used for advertising space.

And we have the Tourism Ministry blocking the view of the sea in St Julian’s, placing adverts along the railings on the waterfront.

A sizeable part of Balluta Bay is now covered with these Tourism Ministry adverts, and in spite of their transparency, they are still a major eyesore.

They block the view of the bay.

It's one thing to relax while looking at the sea and another story to look at advertising material.
