Over the past few days many drivers have experienced delays going south at the Marsa junction while work on seven flyovers continues unabated in the heat of the summer months.

This was mostly due to some confusion related to the temporary re-distribution of lanes going towards the south of Malta.

Infrastructure Malta has compiled a map (below) to help drivers in choosing their lanes to Santa Lucija, Luqa and Malta International airport, a temporary measure until the first two flyovers are completed.

Drivers are urged to choose their lane as early as possible so as to avoid the creation of bottlenecks. In this way, traffic will flow more smoothly and inconvenience is limited.
