Two elderly men were injured when they were hit by a delivery truck as it rolled downhill driverless in Valletta on Wednesday morning.

The van stopped when it hit scaffolding, causing extensive damage,

The men who were injured are aged 75 and 78, respectively from Valletta and Floriana.

They were both taken to hospital.

The accident happened in Old Theatre Street at 9.30am.
