DLH launches 25th edition of Bir Miftuħ International Music Festival

Din L-Art Ħelwa has launched the 25th edition of the Bir Miftuħ International Music Festival, once again bringing together a stunning line-up of performers for lovers of classical music.

The concerts are held at the charming medieval church of Santa Marija ta' Bir Miftuђ, located outside the Malta International Airport near the roundabout to Gudja.

This year's concerts will be as follows:

  • 10 May at 7.30pm

Manon Galy - violin, Anissa Baniahmad - flute, Anne Marie Camilleri Podesta' - harp and Gillian Zammit - soprano

  • 18 May at 7.30pm

Rachel Gauci - piano and Clare Ghigo - mezzo soprano

  • 8 June at 8pm

Ester Garcia Salas - viola, Inmaculada Muñoz Salgüero - violin, Agnieszka Kuzma - violin and Frank Camilleri - violoncello

The concerts have been generously sponsored by the Embassy of France, the Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German-Maltese Circle, the Goethe Institute and the Embassy of Spain. Special thanks also go to Nectar and Marsovin.

Tickets for each concert are against a donation of €25 per person and include refreshments after the performance in the church grounds. Block bookings are also available against a donation of €65 for all three concerts and €40 for two concerts.
