As of today, AD would be expected to poll 5.9 per cent of the first count vote in the European Parliament election, which is 5.2 per cent more than in the last general election.

According to the report, the PN would receive 52.9 per cent of the votes and the MLP 41.2per cent of the votes.

The report was prepared by Professor Simon Hix of the London School of Economics and Political Sciences and Michael Marsh of Trinity College, the AD statement said.

AD chairman Harry Vassallo said: “This professional and independent report is proving what we are experiencing daily here in Malta. The Maltese people are realising the importance of having Alternattiva Demokratika elected to the European Parliament.

“With two months to go to the election, and fielding the most experienced, consistent and proven European candidate for the EP elections, Alternattiva Demokratika and Arnold Cassola are going to make it to the next European Parliament, as more Maltese and Gozitans are daily recognising the validity of this candidature”, he concluded.
