In the first, second, third and fourth quarters of 2003, the index recorded consistent increases of 11.94, 9.97, 7.67 and 7.16 per cent respectively, compared to the same quarters in 2002.
In the period under review, the highest increase in the turnover per head index was registered during the third quarter of 2000, when it rose from 120.7 in 1999 to 164.2 in 2000, an increase of 36.08 per cent.
The biggest fall for the same variable was recorded in the fourth quarter of 2001, which registered a drop of 26.53 per cent when compared to the same period in the previous year.
