Telephone Directory 2004 distribution kicks off

Malta Independent Sunday, 18 April 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 11 years ago

In August last year, the company sent a form to all subscribers, both residential and businesses, informing them of their entitlement to a free copy of the directory. Subscribers requesting extra copies were asked to order these by filling in the Directory form and returning it to Maltacom in the self-addressed envelope.

After the distribution process, a limited number of copies will be available for sale at Maltacom branches in Malta and Gozo. Further details will be announced in due course.

The distribution of the 2004 Telephone Directory is being handled by the same contractor entrusted with the production of the publication – namely Newsworks Ltd – a San Gwann company specialising in printing projects. About 150,000 directories will be distributed on a 24x7 basis. That means one telephone directory for every residential or business subscriber in Malta and Gozo. It is expected that the distribution will be carried out by the first week of May when every Maltacom subscriber would have received a copy of the new directory.

From time to time Maltacom will inform the public through the media on when and where the distribution is taking place.

Maltacom also had a number of meetings with the contractor during which a number of specific conditions were laid down to reduce to the minimum any inconveniences to the public during the distribution process. Later on, measures will be taken to collect the old directories for recycling purposes.

In case of difficulties, enquires or complaints the public is kindly invited to contact Maltacom on freephone 80072333.

Maltacom is also appealing for full co-operation from its clients and would like to remind subscribers that the directory is also available on-line. The Maltacom on-line Telephone Directory is accessible through the Maltacom website www.maltacom.com. Click “directory enquiries” on the homepage.
