According to a police statement, the 29-year-old man was driving his motorcycle through Qawra Road, close to Ta’ Fra Ben, at around 5pm when he lost control of his motorbike after skidding and crashed into a wall.

His passenger, whose sex, age and nationality was not known by the police community relations unit, was rushed to hospital and was found to be suffering from serious injuries.

Magistrate Giovanni Grixti was informed about the case. He appointed several court experts to assist hi with the inquiry into the incident.

Police investigations are being conducted by Qawra police.
