The MLP said their worries were illustrated by the type of questions they put to Opposition spokesman for social solidarity Marie Louis Colerio and spokesman for the elderly Silvio Parnis.
The pensioners said one of their main concerns was the way the cost of living was affecting their general quality of life. They also highlighted the scarcity of medicines to which they are entitled free of charge, which they are having to buy at high cost. Ms Colerio and Mr Parnis said it was not fair that the government should drag its feet on issues it had raised itself in the first place.
The MLP said such issues included pension reform and the sustainability of the free medication system. “The PN government should be responsible about things and inform people of its plans,” said the two MPs.
