The two victims’ version of events corroborated. Since the accused did not testify in the proceedings, and did not produce any medical certificates regarding any injuries, the court considered the testimonies of Mr Micallef and Mr Zammit to be reliable.

Scicluna was found guilty of threatening and injuring Mr Micallef and Mr Zammit, and breaching the peace. As well as being fined Lm400, he was also ordered not to approach the two victims for a year.

The court was presided over by magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera and inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted.
