Malta Independent Tuesday, 27 April 2004, 00:00 Last update: about 21 years ago

The couple claimed that their son was being bullied repeatedly by six other students. The protest said that the boy was constantly threatened and ridiculed and also alleged that he suffered beatings at the hands of these students.

The protest suggested that Mr Saliba report these incidents to the police and suspend the students in question until the case is properly investigated. It went on to say that the boy is suffering psychologically, not just physically, and this could have serious consequences on his future.

The protest, filed by Dr Jose Herrera, held Mr Saliba responsible for the damage being done to the young boy and asked him to take the steps necessary to safeguard the boy’s well-being.
