The party said that this is written in the European Greens’ official document highlighting the party’s principles, noting that the secretary-general of this group is none other than Prof. Arnold Cassola.

The PN criticised Alternattiva Demokratika’s press statement which claimed that the party was proud that its MEP candidate, Prof. Cassola, already heads a “European Political Family”.

Using this same argument one may say that Alternattiva Demokratika is proud that Prof. Cassola heads a Parliamentary Group that favours divorce, the statement added.

The PN also stated that one must always be consistent to be credible. It said that a person cannot lead a foreign party that favours divorce and at the same time say that he is against divorce being introduced in his own country.
