Man Guilty of importing semi-automatic pistol

35-year-old Anton Scicluna from Luqa was sentenced to a one-year jail term suspended for two after he pleaded guilty to being in possession of an unlicensed semi-automatic pistol and ammunition. The weapon in question is on the restricted list.
Presiding magistrate Saviour Demicoli took Scicluna’s early guilty plea and his cooperation with police into consideration when passing judgement. Magistrate Demicoli ordered the pistol and the ammunition to be confiscated.
