Man Denies threatening police officer

Anthony Formston, 36 from Valletta, denied threatening a police officer and disturbing him while on duty on 20 May. He also pleaded not guilty to resisting police, tampering with evidence, using obscene language in public and relapsing in view of previous convictions.

Presiding magistrate Abigail Lofaro granted the accused bail against a Lm1,000 personal guarantee and ordered him to pay a Lm200 deposit. Inspector Ian Joseph Abdilla prosecuted while Dr Roberto Montalto and Dr Jose’ Herrera appeared for the accused.
