In a statement, the police said they were informed that a person had been left on the road in Paceville Street.

Preliminary investigations resulted that at about 4.30am, three people, all of them foreigners, had been involved in an argument. One of them was injured, and the other two ran away.

The injured person was taken to hospital were he was found to be suffering from a serious wound in his neck and was in critical condition.

Magistrate Antonio Quintano appoint several experts to help him in the case. The St Julian’s police are investigating.
