Both were also accused of relapsing, with Bonello being additionally charged with breaching a previous Court of Magistrates sentence, suspended for three years, given on 26 April.
The court was presided over by Magistrate A. Vella while inspectors Angelo Caruana and Frans Micallef prosecuted. Dr Franco Debono assisted the accused.
