Commenting on a theft from the Natural History Museum, AD’s spokesman Noel Agius said: “A speck of moon rock costing Lm2 million has been stolen from the Natural History Museum. When one considers that some of our monuments and museums are left with no protection whatsoever, it is very difficult to justify any cut-back in the budget for Heritage Malta.
“Such cut-backs, apart from having the effect of making our tourist product less attractive, actually end up costing the state money in terms of vandalism and stolen objects”, he concluded.
