The man, Karmenu Axiaq from Qrendi, was walking along the cliff-top path in the area known as Migra Ilma with another man when he allegedly slipped and fell into the sea below, according to a police report yesterday.

Members of the Civil Protection Department later recovered the man’s body from the sea.

Magistrate Dr Michael Mallia appointed several court experts to help in his investigations. An autopsy will be carried out today.

Qormi district police are investigating the incident.
