The DOI said agreement had been reached after lengthy and intensive meetings held this week.

The management and the union agreed that Maltapost increase its staff by 14, who will be chosen from among those Maltapost employees who were transferred to the public sector or those who are employed with public entities or in the public sector.

The two parties also agreed on a time and motion study and both parties agreed to implement the recommendations of the findings. The government, Maltapost and the union said they believed the whole agreement would lead to better service for the client.
