49, Leo, 17 August.

n Significant other? Children?

One girl, Olivia, she is 21.

n What would you like to be doing in 10 years’ time?

Probably retire from normal work and concentrate fully on art and music.

n What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Nothing is perfect in this world but I am most happy when I am creative, whether it is playing music or shaping glass. And travelling...

n What is your favourite

occupation?

I am split in the middle. Half playing jazz and ethnic music, the other half working in my glass studio.

n What is your greatest fear?

At this time it is religious fundamentalism. It is going to destroy the world if no solution is found to curb it.

n What is it that you most value in your friends?

Honesty.

n How would you like to die?

Not at the moment thank you.

n What is your greatest extravagance?

Probably my car, but in retrospect everything I have has been put to good use.

Not having had enough time to qualify in biology when younger, as nature and the environment are very dear to me.

Maybe my musical ear that helps me appreciate good music and a keen eye for aesthetic beauty.

I admire birds because of their beauty and their ability to defy gravity by flying, something I would love to do.

Not having fresh milk with my tea on a Sunday morning.

I can be explosive one minute and joking the next.

n Who are your heroes/heroines in real life?

All those that achieved something with their own steam and my parents.

n What is it that you most dislike?

There is so much I don’t know where to start. Arrogance, greed, injustice, environmental degradation and cruelty to animals irk me pretty badly.

Do what you have to do NOW.n How old are you? Star sign and date of birth?

41 years old. Gemini. 1 June 1963.

n Significant other? Children?

A bald head. A five-year-old ninja! – Gabriel.

n What would you like to be doing in 10 years' time?

Be occupied in Heritage related designs or innovations. My wish is to see concrete and constructive development on this small island. I want us to be more conscience of this jewel, this island full of history, of its environment, and culture. I want to do and ultimately leave something valuable for my son, and future generations.

n What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Happiness comes from within. I feel it works hand in hand with respect – demonstrating this towards everyone and everything.

n What is your favourite

occupation?

To be a full-time artist or designer. I consider this activity to be like a power station, emitting energy and life.

Rodents. I freeze when I see one. And grasshoppers. They tend to emerge when I do a bit of gardening – u nibda ngara kollox dak li jigi ghal idejja.

Pope John Paul II, St Francis. In sport: Michael Schumacher. These heroes inspire in me the value of persistence, of humility and of perseverance.
