In a judicial protest filed yesterday, against the Electoral Commission and the police commissioner, Sign It Ltd said last Wednesday it was notified that as from 11 June, its employees’ entry into the building, that is near the Ta’ Qali counting hall, will be restricted till 17 June.

The company said this is the first time this happened. During previous elections the employees were always allowed into the building. Sign It said this is discriminatory and abusive.

Sign It’s offices are situated near the hall and therefore the employees will be working, not breaking the law and lingering outside the counting hall. This directive will cause the company to miss deadlines, the protest said, and therefore lose large amounts of money.

Sign It is holding the commission responsible for any financial damages and is demanding its employees be allowed access to their offices.
