The incident, which happened at 1.15pm, caused an interruption in electricity service to parts of St Julian’s.

Enemalta Corporation took immediate steps to restore supply as soon as possible and service was restored to all areas by 3pm, using alternative electricity sources.

The accident, which happened at 10.15am, caused the electricity service to be interrupted in parts of Mqabba, an Enemalta Corporation statement said yesterday.

Enemalta was carrying out the necessary repairs yesterday evening to restore the electricity service as soon as possible.

The corporation said that the service was expected to be back to normal by late yesterday evening.
